Dear Charlie, I am writing you today in regards to the job which was just completed on our house. To begin with, I was thoroughly impressed with all aspects of the job. I appreciate your quick response to my request for the job to be done, especially during the hectic holiday season. I also wish to thank you for being so flexible with the changes in the original plan of work. The job done by you and your men is superb. The areas where the boards were replaced is undetectable, and the scuffs were sanded out beautifully. The color is perfect for our furnishings, and we appreciate your willingness to allow us to choose along the way. The polyurethane finish is a miracle. I would recommend it to any one of your prospective customers. We painted our main room this past weekend, and I unfortunately spilled some paint which soaked through the drop cloth to the floor. Not to worry - a wet rag cleaned it up beautifully, and there was no residue in the grain.
It should also be noted that I was equally impressed with your team of men who worked on our house. My wife and I are just starting out and both of us are young looking, which will hopefully be an asset in the future, however, we are usually treated in an inferior manner. This was not the case with regards to you and your men. From the outset, we were treated as valued customers and even up to the completion through the numerous questions and changes we had, there was always the utmost respect given to us. All of the men in that crew, especially Brian and James, should be commended on their fine work. Each of them was glad to answer any questions and even explain the process indepth so that we would understand. You should be proud of the men you have working for you. They are a class act! It is also uncommon to have a manager take so much interest in a project. We were glad to see that you made every effort to meet the deadline. I also appreciate the follow-up work on the thresholds into the kitchen. Once again, your promptness has added value in my mind to the job and your company. I am in a service industry myself and understand the value of customer service. You have instilled this concept extremely well in your company. I applaud you for this and encourage you to retain this aspect. I will return to your company time and time again for this reason alone, and I believe that most customers in this day and age will agree with me.
